It’s time to update the blog with the results of the search engine optimization again. It’s been about six months since the last update. For the first time, visibility and traffic are becoming quite substantial and consistent compared to before. Monthly, my page receives up to 50-70 visitors from search results, with an average of over 10,000 pageviews per month.
You can find the previous results article here if you want to refresh your memory.
What I did on my website in the last 6 months:
- Published 3 articles
- Released a new “Blog Statistics” page
- A slight “brand refresh,” changing the red theme entirely to black.
- Switched from Rankmath to SEO-Framework for SEO plugin.
- Expanded the content of old “well-ranking” articles.
The effects of the last 6 months of optimization on organic visibility are as follows:
RESULTS:
- 295 site visitors from search results (the number of visitors nearly doubled compared to the previous period).
- 0.5% Average click-through rate (CTR% remained constant even though the number of impressions increased significantly).
- Approximately 64,000 impressions in search results (the number of impressions increased 1.5 times compared to the previous period).
- Average search engine ranking improved by approximately 6 positions.
Breaking down the results:
Visibility growth has continued to be rapid, although not at the same rate as half a year ago. On the other hand, if I could increase my organic search engine visibility sevenfold every six months in this industry, I’d be a fairy tale character. Particularly noteworthy in the results was the consistently positive click-through rate. Visibility has grown approximately 1.5 times compared to the previous period, but the click-through rate from search results has remained the same, indicating that my previous content has started to rise well in search results from the bottom.
Here are a few keywords that have seen a nice increase in traffic. You can find the full list and rankings on the blog’s statistics page. Due to the limited addition of new articles, I haven’t acquired many new keywords for the site to rank on Google again. Fortunately, it hasn’t been a deal-breaker because optimizing old articles has served the same purpose.
How do I proceed from here?
The very first thing would be to start producing content for the blog more actively. Over the last 6 months, actual text writing has taken a back seat, but I’ve still found other things to work on the site. Additionally, optimizing old articles that have started approaching the 2-3 page range in search results.
There is also a lot of interest in experimenting with the potential benefits of backlinks for the blog, but acquiring them properly can be quite labor-intensive. I’ve at least mentioned on my contact page that if someone running a similar blog is interested in guest posting, they can reach out.
